Kate studied dance for 25 years at Studio One Academy of Dance and Drama in Massachusetts.  Her studies began with tap, jazz, and ballet, and expanded to include drama, pointe, and lyrical dance.  She began student teaching at the age of 13 and really enjoyed working with younger children to help cultivate their love of dance. She continued teaching throughout her tenure at the school.  During high school, Kate was selected to join the studio’s travelling “troupe” which performed during the summers at area community centers, schools, and festivals.

After a 13 year career in communications and development with the American Cancer Society, Kate decided to stay at home with her three children.  Soon after, she began looking for opportunities to both study and teach tap, and began teaching again during the 2015-2016 season.  Her family relocated to Danville in June of 2016.  She enjoys community theatre, cooking, spending time with her family, and all things New England sports.
