<image:title>Meet Our Instructors - Hide Horikoshi, Hip Hop, Owner and founder</image:title>
<image:caption>Hide discovered his love for dance as a student at Salisbury University in 2006, where movement quickly became his most powerful form of self-expression. He went on to study hip hop extensively at Broadway Dance Center in New York City, training under Bev Brown and working toward an assistantship before choosing to complete his degree. Along the way, Hide worked as a guest faculty choreographer at Salisbury University, taught master classes at both Salisbury and Bloomsburg Universities, and in 2024 was honored with the Generous Heart Award at Rhee Gold’s DanceLife Conference. In 2015, Hide founded Komotion Dance Program with a small group of dancers, and today it has grown into a vibrant part of the Danville community. His greatest joy is working with kids—using dance as a way to connect, inspire, and teach. At Komotion, Hide balances unconditional love for his students with a deep commitment to sharing the history and culture of hip hop. For him, dance is more than choreography; it’s an opportunity to empower young people, celebrate community, and create a space where every child feels valued and seen.</image:caption>
